Dr. Michael J. Heiferman is a vitreoretinal surgeon and ocular oncologist based in Chicago, Illinois, where he practices at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at UIC and the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. He cares for patients with ocular tumors, including melanoma and hemangiomas, as well as a range of vitreoretinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular pucker, macular hole, and central serous chorioretinopathy.
