About
Sue Moreni, M.D., is a Professor of Clinical Practice in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington, where she sees patients across several UW Medicine clinical sites in Seattle, including the UWMC-Roosevelt Women's Health Care Clinic, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Ballard, and the Childbirth Center at UW Medical Center Northwest. Her clinical work spans general obstetrics and gynecology, with particular focus on prenatal care, contraception, management of abnormal pap smears, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Ob/Gyn.
Her research, published in journals including the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism and Disposition, and Metabolites, examines physiologic changes during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This work has addressed topics such as sphingolipid and amino acid metabolism in pregnancy, the effects of pregnancy on CYP2D6 enzymatic activity, plasma micronutrient and retinoid concentrations, and prenatal vitamin adequacy. She has also published on cervical pathology, including the relationship between time from high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion diagnosis and pathologic grade in loop electrosurgical excision specimens.
