Dr. Omar David Hussamy is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon based in Vero Beach, Florida, with more than 32 years of private practice experience. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine and hand surgery at the University of Virginia. His clinical work spans total joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder, arthroscopic surgery, rotator cuff repair, ACL reconstruction, hand and wrist surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and fracture care. He holds medical licenses in Florida and Illinois.
Dr. Hussamy has contributed peer-reviewed research published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, and The Physician and Sportsmedicine, with work covering revision total hip arthroplasty, acetabular reconstruction, interlocking nail techniques, and wrist pathology.
