Leigh Ann Mcglinn

Leigh Ann McGlinn is a neonatal nurse practitioner with a specialty focus in neonatal critical care. She holds a PhD, is credentialed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC), and additionally holds respiratory therapy credentials with a neonatal/pediatric specialty designation (RRT-NPS). She is licensed in Texas and practices in the neonatal critical care space.

Her published research spans two distinct areas: neonatal resuscitation education and substance misuse treatment among Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Asian American populations. The first study, published in Cureus, examined format changes in local Neonatal Resuscitation Program skills education and their effect on learner satisfaction. The second, appearing in Substance Use and Misuse, explored factors contributing to treatment completion within those specific communities. Together, these publications reflect an interest in both clinical training improvement and health equity research.
