Ilan Mizrahi
About
Ilan Mizrahi, M.D., is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and critical care physician based in Boston, Massachusetts. He practices at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where his clinical work spans the full continuum of anesthesia care, from preoperative assessment through operative management and postoperative recovery, as well as the care of critically ill surgical and medical patients in the ICU.
At Harvard Medical School, Dr. Mizrahi holds teaching responsibilities that include directing the Surgical ICU rotation and serving as a pharmacology instructor for first-year medical students. He also serves as Director of Quality Improvement for the Surgical ICU at Massachusetts General Hospital. His academic work includes contributions to multiple book chapters in anesthesia and critical care, and he has presented at the American Society of Anesthesiologists annual meeting.
In a forensic capacity, Dr. Mizrahi evaluates standard of care in anesthesia-related cases, including operative anesthesia management, airway management, emergency intubation, cardiac arrest and code-blue response, and failure-to-rescue scenarios. He is licensed in Massachusetts.
