Ernest P. Chiodo, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., M.S., MBA, CIH is a physician, attorney, industrial hygienist, and industrial toxicologist based in Clinton Township, Michigan. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, public health and general preventive medicine, and industrial hygiene, and is also a Certified Medical Review Officer. His practice centers on the diagnosis of occupational and environmental disease, causation analysis involving toxins, chemicals, molds, radiation, and other hazardous agents, impact biomechanics in vehicular collisions, and building-related illness assessment. He previously served as Medical Director of the City of Detroit.
Dr. Chiodo holds several academic appointments at Wayne State University, where he has served as an assistant clinical professor of internal medicine, family medicine, and public health, as well as an adjunct assistant professor of industrial hygiene and industrial toxicology. He has also taught as an adjunct professor of law at both John Marshall Law School in Chicago and Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. He is the co-author of "Toxic Tort: Medical and Legal Elements," a text addressing the intersection of medicine and toxic tort litigation. He is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan.
