Ananth Eleswarapu

Dr. Ananth Eleswarapu is an orthopedic spine surgeon and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore-Einstein in the Bronx, New York. His clinical practice covers both operative and non-operative treatment of spinal disorders, including scoliosis, fractures, infections, tumors, and degenerative disease. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is licensed in Illinois and Florida.

His research centers on clinical outcomes, patient safety, and the role of non-operative care in spine surgery. With more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, he has contributed work on frailty assessment in surgical candidates, machine learning approaches to predicting surgical site infection and risk-stratifying bundled payments, and the application of natural language processing to perioperative safety monitoring. His work has appeared in journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, World Neurosurgery, and Neurosurgical Review. Prior to his current position, he trained and worked at the University of Chicago Medical Center and UC Davis Medical Center.
